I’m so happy to be teaming up with the Michigan Retailers Association to promote their Buy Nearby campaign and Get Caught Blue Handed day on October 3rd. It’s all about supporting local businesses and shopping small. You have a chance to get in on the fun and win a gift card each month through a social media contest. All you have to do is buy local, snap a pic of yourself doing so, and post it to social media with the hashtag #buynearbymi. Each month a $75 gift card is awarded to one person selected at random who uses the #ibuynearby hashtag and a $150 gift card on October 3. The Flint Farmers’ Market is my favorite place to shop local in downtown Flint, Michigan. I’ve left there with so many awesome finds, like earrings and necklaces, Michigan-made shirts and onsies, the most heavenly smelling candles, flowers and of course local food. It’s also just a fun place to go and spend a few hours. My mom and I took Hudson to the market last weekend and he was such a good baby! He slept in his stroller until I got him out to feed him, then I carried him around in the Happy Baby wrap. Little guy sure does get a lot of attention out in public!
