I am more than a fashion blogger. I’m a mom, a newscaster, a girlfriend, a sister, a daughter, and a friend. It doesn’t matter what other people want to label me – I know that I am so much more than that.
It’s such a strong message, and one that Dressbarn’s fall campaign is centered around. Check out their story here. When they say “More than a name”, I totally get it. They have quite a few celebrities signed on to share their own message – more than a dress, a pretty face, a sex symbol, an age. Aren’t those labels than we all can relate to? I get labeled for the color of my hair on a pretty regular basis. I couldn’t tell you how many times I get addressed in public as “news lady”. What’s worse… I answer to it. Yes, I am a face on the television, but I am also more than that. We all have our labels.
I am so happy to partner with Dressbarn for this campaign because I think it’s something all of us need to remember once in a while. It’s so easy to get lost in the craziness of being a mother, climbing the career ladder, building a business or reaching toward any goal really.
We are more than meets the eye, more than what other’s label us, and more than we probably even imagine.
