I’m thrilled to be partnering with Francesca’s on their Valentine’s Day campaign and talking about who I love “To The Moon and Back”. I’m guest posting over on Francesca’s blog today, so feel free to check that out! This post is clearly all about my baby boy, Hudson James.

They say motherhood is the toughest job you will ever love. The phrase is inscribed on a wooden board that sits next to the rocker in Hudson’s nursery. I read it each time I sit with him – in the middle of the night when he’s woken up pained from teething or in the afternoon when he flips through his favorite books. It’s true, and it’s a kind of love I had never known before.

So many parts of me changed when I became a mom, but my love of fashion has not! There’s nothing like a new dress to lift your spirits and make you walk a little taller. This gorgeous floral wrap dress is one of those pieces that immediately makes you feel pretty when you put it on.  The soft, flowing silhouette is flattering on almost any shape. I love floral for Valentine’s Day because it gives off a subtle romantic vibe.

I like to keep my accessories pretty simple these days because there are almost always a pair of tiny hands yanking on them (what is it about babies and necklaces?!). Chokers have been my go-to lately. I’m in love with this chiffon choker. It’s so delicate and feminine – also perfect for Valentine’s Day.

This simple gold bracelet is going to be a staple for me. I love the arrow etched on it and the pink pull tie in the back. I have really tiny wrists, so this is about the only kind of bangle that I can wear!

When it comes to carrying bags, I am partial to a crossbody like this one. I like to have my hands free to chase around my sometimes-unruly toddler. That being said, I’m typically carrying around at least two bags, sometimes a diaper bag on top of that. One or two of those bags may also be littered with crushed up cookies…

I wouldn’t trade being a mom for the world, though.  While my life is so much different, it’s also so much fuller. My long days at work end with me opening the door at daycare and Hudson spotting me from across the room. A smile immediately spreads across his face as he runs over to me. His little arms reach up and he squeals as I pick him up. It’s moments like those when you remember why all of the hard work, sleepless nights, and skinny jeans you will never fit into again – are all worth it.

I love you to the moon and back, my baby boy. <3

p.s. I would love to hear from all of you other mama’s about who you love to the moon and back! Find me on instagram and facebook!
