Not only is it Fri-YAY but there is only 1 day until my favorite night of the year: Christmas Eve! I’m home in Pittsburgh for a few days and so excited for the holiday.
I’m in love with this festive plaid skirt. J Crew has the best clothes for the holiday season (and probably all of the other seasons too). From festive plaids to bright reds and sparkly pieces – I’ve been totally swooning over all of it. The skirt i’m wearing is one of their sidewalk skirts that has an elastic bunched waistband. I have it in a plain beige color too and I really like the style of this skirt. It has pockets and is really comfortable to wear. One thing that’s great about the elastic waist (aside from it being more comfortable) is that you can pull it up around your natural waist or wear it lower near your hips, depending on how short you want it to be. It also comes in another plaid color which is gorgeous. My skirt is on clearance right now so snatch it up before it’s gone!
I love the way this skirt looks with my grey tassel hem sweater. I’ve had this sweater for a while now but couldn’t figure out what to wear it with. It didn’t look quite right with my jeans but I hadn’t thought about pairing it with a skirt until this week! It’s also incredibly soft and well made for such an inexpensive peice.
