4 Halloween Makeup Looks for Last Minute Costumes

It’s Halloween Glam week in Glitz Beauty and I’ve been trying out a bunch of really fun makeup looks! Most of these are very simple and quick to do – I promise! The last two were a bit more time consuming, so you definitely need a bit more patience for those ones. I’ve been sharing these on instagram all week and getting a lot of questions, so I wanted to answer some of those for you here too!

I used smudge-proof, water-proof makeup for all of these looks (you can browse any of the products I refer to here). That’s key for me when I don’t want to be getting dark makeup over all of my clothes and ruining them! To remove, I use body butter and a hot washcloth. Seriously – start steaming your makeup off and you will never go back to the other way you did it!

EYES: Pink Berry Blush, Tropical Hibiscus Shimmer ShadowSense | LIPS: Be Mine | WHISKERS AND NOSE: Onyx ShadowSense

This ended up being one of my favorite looks even though it was the simplest! I love the pop of the bright pink. This is such an easy one to transition your day makeup into a quick halloween look. All I did was use black smudge-proof liner to draw the whiskers and dots. Then I used a black creamy shadow to draw on the nose and carry it down toward my top lip. SO EASY!!

EYES: Pink Frost, moca Java, Rustic Brown | LIPS: Hazelnut | SPOTS: White Concealer | BRONZER: Bronze Dust Powder

For the Deer look, I started with a simple cut crease eye using three shadow colors. I winged my liner on both the outside and inside corners of my eyes for a dramatic wide-eyed look. I used a brown liner on the bottom lash line, and black on the top and corners.

For the deer spots, I layered dots of white concealer over top of some heavy bronzer on my cheek bones and above my brows. Keep the dots around your hairline and don’t carry them in towards the middle of your face. I used a small and dense round brush to dot them on.

Finish off with a deep brown lip color (I used Hazelnut) and black liner or shadow around the edge of your nose.

CHEEKS: Terra Cotta BlushSense or Pink Posey ShadowSense | NOSE: Pouty Pink BlushSense or Mulberry ShadowSense | STITCHING: Onyx ShadowSense or black waterproof/smudge-proof liner  | LIPS: Violette

This scarecrow was so fun and I absolutely love how it turned out! It makes for a really easy last minute costume if you have a flannel shirt you can throw on. Just like the deer – it’s easy to just add the scarecrow parts on top of your regular makeup for the day. I started by doing the two circles on my cheeks using the warmer pink color, then the triangle on my nose using the cooler pink. Then, all you have to do is add the stitching around the triangle on your nose (I like keeping the top open, instead of closing the triangle) and out from the corners of your mouth. The great thing about the stitching is that it doesn’t have to be perfect, so don’t stress if you can’t keep the line completely straight!

EYES: Onyx ShadowSense, Moca Java ShadowSense, Gold highlight | BLOOD: Bandana Shimmer ShadowSense | LIPS: Bravo Lipsense | BROWS: Rustic Brown ShadowSense

This zombie-esque look is perfect for a glam halloween costume. I would do this with an old prom dress,a formal dress you find at the thrift store, or anything tattered up! I didn’t have any fake blood laying around, otherwise I could have added some on my neck, shoulders and arms. This makeup was a tad bit tricker than the first three, but still not complicated. The main things to accomplish here are a very dark smokey eye, the red smudges coming down from the outer half, the black teardrop and a very nude lip.

I used onyx for the entire eye, including liner and then added some moca java shimmer on the lower lash line, followed by a bit of gold highlight on the inner corners. Then I started blending in bandana shimmer shadow for my “bloody” color. I pretty much just dabbed it on with a round brush so that it appeared splotchy but slightly blended. I used onyx for the tear drop and just used a thin brush to bring the line all the way from the middle of my lower lash line down to the bottom of my cheek.

I did this look for a halloween shoot this week with some friends and I’ll be sharing the photos with you soon!
