TGIF – we finally made it to Friday! This is always a reason for celebration in my book…mainly because it means I get to sleep past 1:30 am the next two mornings!
Today’s post is all about unexpected pairings. I love wearing denim with something that feels a little dressier, like a full skirt, or in this case a pencil skirt. It gives off an unexpected cool vibe that seems casual but put-together. This fitted dark denim shirt feels a bit dressier than the lighter chambray styles I have. My accessories here help to pull everything together. The belt is one that I wish I could wear with everything I own (that’s how much I love it), and the neck scarf is such a cute print that I will be wearing it on repeat this fall.
This is the third look that I styled with this ponte pencil skirt from Dressbarn’s new roz&ALI sportswear line. I have professed my love for it several times in the past few days, so I’m sure you get the point by now, ha! It just goes to show that investing in some good classic wardrobe staples is a smart move!
