SKIRT & BLOUSE: Stitch Fix (blouse similar here ) (and skirt) | BOOTS: Report (similar) and here | JACKET: Forever 21 (similar) and here
Happy Monday everyone! I’ve been wanting to do a Stitch Fix review for a while now, and I finally got the chance!
“For busy women on the go, Stitch Fix is the personal styling service tailored to your taste, budget and lifestyle that helps you look and feel your best every day.”
It’s a pretty cool idea, having a stylist send you a box of items handpicked just for you. What I was really interested in those if whether or not that stylist could really get a feel for what my style is. I have to say that this particular fix missed the mark, but I am willing to give it another shot. One of the great things about Stitch Fix is that you can leave your stylists notes each time to tell them what you liked and didn’t like about your “fix”. I also created a Pinterest board for her to look at. Hopefully my notes on this one will help my stylist choose better items for my next box.
I received 5 items in the box: A jacket, knit skirt, blouse, micro suede tank, and a pair of leggings. I liked the leather accents on the jacket, but the style and fit did nothing for me. The plaid print leggings were not my style and also were not flattering on me. The suede top was very soft but it was around $50 and more than I wanted to spend on a tank top. I liked the black dot print blouse and the knit skirt best, and I thought they looked really cute styled with my black boots and a black leather jacket. I just didn’t like anything in the box to justify keeping it.
When you choose to keep everything, you get 20% off the total. Your $20 styling fee also gets applied toward anything you purchase. If I had wanted to keep everything in the box, it would have totaled around $230. This was actually the 3rd “fix” that I have gotten, but I didn’t have a chance to photograph the previous two before I had to send the items back. I tried my best to give good feedback from the first two, but I understand that it’s a bit of a learning experience for both me and my stylist. Like I said above, I’m willing to give it another shot and see if the next fix is a better fit to my style. I scheduled it for April and I’m hoping to get some new pieces to add to my spring wardrobe that are soft and feminine. We shall see!
xoxo

I do really like the skirt a lot! I’ve always toyed with using StitchFix but feel like it’d be a waste on me because I eventually end up wearing only clothes that I’ve made myself, haha. I love the idea behind it though. Having a personal stylist would be AMAZING, if they actually “got me”.
