Sunday Lately…
I’m trying out a new post format and linking up with the Blogger Tribe for Sunday Lately. I’m answering the following prompts (Creating, Finding, Switching, Forgetting, Craving) and letting you in on what’s been going on in my life lately! So here goes….
Creating: Product photography. I’ve been working hard on my latest set of flatlay images for one of the brands I’m currently working with. This month I’m getting reallllyyyy festive (see below). I am so proud of how far I’ve come with photography since I bought my DSLR camera almost a year ago. I’m thinking of doing a blog post with tips on how to take flatlay photos. Let me know if any of you would be interested in learning how I do it!
Finding: Excuses not to work out. Seriously, it’s been WEEKS. But it’s so cold and now that I can’t walk with the stroller outside and do weights in the garage, it’s just really hard to make it to the gym before daycare pickup. See? Excuses. Totally makes sense though, right?
Switching: All of my leggings and tights for the fleece lined variety. They are the best. My favorite pairs are all from TJ Maxx and only cost about $7. They are high waisted and super comfy. I’m obsessed and wearing them every day. We’ve had wind chills down below zero this week and I’m pretty sure these leggings made a huge difference in staying warm.
Forgetting: Everything. But that’s not new. It started when I began working an early morning shift. I’ve always said my brain turned into mashed potatoes after that. Then I had a baby. I’m pretty sure it’s all downhill from here. LOL. But he is soooooooo cute. Little snow bunny 🙂 He’s gone sledding now twice in the last week. I love this little red sled Gregg found at Target last Sunday!
Craving: Sugar! Ugh. It happens every year between halloween and Christmas. The newsroom is full of cookies and candy every day and now I can’t stay away from it. Then I decide it was a good idea to buy cute little gingerbread man cookies for a shoot and ended up eating the whole box. It’s a serious problem. I plan to address it… after the new year.

I would love tips on flatlay photography! Specifically, lighting and avoiding shadows as I’m standing above them to snap a pic.
Love it! I enjoyed the honestly and perks of where to buy the leggings. Keep the pictures and post coming. You got it together!
Your flat lays are perfect! It’s one thing I want to tackle this year. I feel like maybe people get tired of seeing me wear the clothes I’m making. Haha. Hudson is so cute! Glad he’s enjoying all of that Michigan snow!
