The Bahamas

I’m so excited to start sharing our cruise with you all! This is the first of several posts that will cover where we went, what we did and what the experience was like!

Since the Bahamas was our first stop, I figured it would be a good place to start!

Princess Cruise Lines owns it’s own private beach called Princess Cays. It’s a stop of the Eastern Caribbean cruise itinerary that we chose. IT’s one of those ports that you have to tender into though – meaning that the ship can’t dock right there, it has to anchor a bit further out and you tender into shore on smaller boats.

Of course, one of the first things we did once stepping foot on the island, was find a cute little beach bar to grab a drink at. Since the entire beach was owned and operated by Princess, the bartenders at the bar were also cruise staff and we could use our cruise cards to get drinks – which I thought was pretty cool!

I took this shot of the ship while we were tendering out to shore. It was such a cool view!
They have cute little cabanas that you can rent if you want a place to escape the heat and sun. I loved the pastel colors and cute little picket fences! We didn’t rent one of these because we had a cabana booked at the adult retreat pool later in the day back on the ship (it was the only time the entire week that we could get)!

The water in the bahamas was so incredibly clear and beautiful – like nothing I’ve ever seen! It’s the first thing we noticed when we stepped out onto our balcony the morning we arrived there. You could see straight down to the bottom even all the way up on the 15th deck!

I have so many more cruise posts to share with you, but I would love your feedback too! Have you been on a cruise? What is your favorite line? Comment and let me know! I am doing plenty of research before booking our next trip and I would love to hear what your favorites are!
